BEHIND-MS Consortium: Advancing together with expert guidance
The BEHIND-MS Consortium continues to push the boundaries of multiple sclerosis (MS) research, working collaboratively to uncover the intricate role of Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) in the onset and progression of MS.
Kickstarting 2025, the consortium held an online session with our esteemed External Advisory Board (EAB) to reflect on the valuable feedback received during our Annual Meeting in Heidelberg.
Integrating Expert Insights
During this session, we meticulously reviewed each Work Package to ensure that every recommendation from our EAB is thoughtfully considered and integrated into our ongoing research. The expertise and guidance of our advisory board are instrumental in refining our approach and maximizing the impact of our work.
Key takeaways from the session
Strengthening Collaboration:
-
Enhancing synergy across Work Packages to foster unified progress and ensure that findings complement one another.
-
Strengthening connections with external complementary projects focused on EBV and MS research, fostering a broader network of scientific exchange and innovation.
Keeping People with MS at the Center:
-
Integrating patient perspectives throughout the research process to ensure that findings are relevant and meaningful to the MS community.
-
Promoting accessible and transparent communication of research findings to empower people with MS with knowledge about ongoing scientific development.
Moving Forward
As we continue this vital research, collaboration remains at the heart of our approach. The integration of expert feedback ensures that we remain on the cutting edge of MS research, driving new discoveries that bring us closer to prevention and treatment breakthroughs.
We extend our gratitude to our External Advisory Board for their invaluable expertise and to the entire BEHIND-MS Consortium for their unwavering dedication. Together, we are making meaningful strides toward understanding the link between EBV and MS and paving the way for future advancements.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue this groundbreaking EU-funded project!
